Online Safety

Online Safety

Online Safety is an important part of children's education in a world where connectivity across the internet and access to the world wide web is a growing part of everyday life.  Children might access social media such as Whatsapp, Snapchat, Instagram and Tiktok before the age that the sites recommend (no younger than years of age 13 years and in some cases 16 years), and so might be exposed to content that they are not equipped to process effectively.  All classes have a specific Online Safety lesson at the start of each half term.  We have put together some resources below to help prepare and explain a range of issues that parents might find helpful.
We have put together links to specific sites which have age-related guides to Online Safety.  These guides offer practical advice on a range of issues which children might encounter when online.

These links below will take you to websites with lots more general information to help you keep your child safe online.
